Chiricyacu Lamista Native Community-Quechua District San Roque De Cumbaza.
Chiricyacu is a one hour walk from the village of San Roque. Here you can learn to make the Traditional Lamista belts that have been used throughout time as an all purpose rope which you can even use to hold up your trousers. The chumbes are very symbolic for these Indigenous people and the decorative symbols you can learn as you work. This is an amazing opportunity for the Indigenous people also to learn from experienced Textile designers, from other parts of the world. The village of Chiricyacu itself is breathtaking.
